Charlie W. Fang, M.D. Medical Director

Dr. Charlie W. Fang serves as the Medical Director of Phoenix Bio-Medical Equipment Services, LC, bringing over two decades of clinical experience and a deep commitment to rural healthcare.

Originally from Taiwan, Dr. Fang came to the United States in 1984 to pursue higher education. Before entering medicine, he worked as a Programming Analyst and Technical Support Manager–experience that provided him with a strong foundation in technology and systems thinking. He earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1998 and is board-certified in Family Medicine.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Fang has specialized in Emergency Medicine, serving patients in rural hospitals throughout Tennessee and neighboring states. He holds active medical licenses in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and Virginia. A strong advocate for rural health access, Dr. Fang was a key member of the clinical staff at Jamestown Regional Medical Center and remains committed to supporting sustainable healthcare delivery in underserved areas.

He and his wife reside in the scenic city of Knoxville, Tennessee. They are proud parents of two sons–one currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics, and the other recently receiving a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
